1. Subject matter

RodSense is parental control software: an agent for Windows and macOS that tracks play time, rotates turns between children and enforces a night sleep window. Installing and using the agent is governed by these Terms; using the parent web panel is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

2. System requirements

The agent runs on Windows 10/11 and macOS 12+. Managing it from your phone requires an iOS or Android smartphone and a stable internet connection to deliver commands. Remote control, granting extra time and other server-side features require an active PRO licence.

3. Licence and subscription

Activating a key grants you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the software on the number of devices stated in your licence. The licence is cryptographically bound to the device and may not be transferred. Activation keys are non-refundable unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

4. User obligations

You agree to install the software only on devices you are legally entitled to configure, not to use it for covert monitoring of devices without their owner's consent, and not to attempt to defeat its protections (including changing the system time to bypass clock-tampering protection). Parents remain responsible for whether a child follows the agreed schedule.

5. Data and privacy

Game and app usage data is processed locally on your device in a SQLite database and is not uploaded by default. The scope and purposes of personal data processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or at the rights holder's request. When a subscription ends, the software keeps working locally but server-side features (remote control, sync, granting time) are switched off. Backing up data that exists only on your device remains your responsibility.

7. Limitation of liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of error-free operation. The developer's liability is limited to the amount actually paid for the subscription during its term. We are not liable for lost profit, data loss or indirect damages, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version is published on this page and takes effect from publication unless stated otherwise. Continuing to use the software after publication means you accept the changes.
